CAPITOL HILL NEIGHBORHOOD
A recent issue of Windermere Real Estate’s Premier Living says it well: “Eclectic and energetic, Capitol Hill provides a glorious mix of the old and new. Located on a hill directly east of downtown Seattle, the neighborhood is overflowing with art galleries, independent film theaters, Victrola Coffee and Art, Liberty and Caffé Vita, Urban Outfitters, American Apparel, Crossroads, Take 2 and LeFrock Vintage. Built primarily at the turn of the century, the elegant mansions of Capitol Hill are among the largest and most opulent in the city, often featuring the exquisite architectural detailing and grand spaces of an era gone by. Capitol Hill is a very diverse urban neighborhood, and a great place to people-watch. The neighborhood is also home to historic Volunteer Park, which houses the Asian Art Museum.”
Like its namesake, the Emerald City, Seattle is a lush and magical place awaiting your exploration. From the waterfront to the Seattle Center, from downtown to the zoo, there’s something for everyone!
PUGET SOUND AREA AND MORE
In the unlikely event you’ve exhausted all Seattle has to offer, within a few hours you can be in a rain forest, on an ocean beach or snowy mountain peak. Or, a few hours the other direction finds you in the desert! A ferry ride from Seattle can take you to a nearby island or another country altogether.
